We created frozen berry popsicles and had fun in the sun with Banana Boat as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #BestSummerEver

Frozen Berry Ice Pops

Homemade popsicles are always on our summer bucket list. They are easy and fun for kids to help make, plus they taste yummy! My little sous chef requested berry popsicles this year. They needed to have blueberries, blackberries and raspberries and I just so happened to find a frozen bag of mixed berries that contained all of his suggested ingredients. You can use fresh berries too, but we love making fruit smoothies out of our leftover frozen berries. The recipe calls for lemonade, but you could also use coconut milk or make your own sugar-less lemonade for a healthier version.

The funnest part about popsicle making, aside from sampling your creation, is the pouring and scooping of the ingredients. INGREDIENTS

Frozen Mixed Berries
Lemonade
Small Paper Cups
Popsicle Sticks

INSTRUCTIONS

Fill paper cups with frozen berries. Pour lemonade into the berry filled cups, leaving a little room at the top. Place a popsicle stick in the center of each cup. Freeze overnight. Once frozen, peel the paper cup off of the popsicle and immediately enjoy outside before they melt!

To make a fruit smoothie out of leftover ingredients, add 2 cups water and 2 cups frozen berries + a banana to your blender and blend until smooth. Feel free to add a cup of spinach or kale to the mix for extra greens.
